The following incidents were reported on Monday, March 28th, 2016:
At 11:06 AM, Deputies were advised of an attempted burglary to a business in the 100 block of South Mill Street in Browntown. Anyone with information on the case can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 608-328-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-7463
Motor Vehicle Crash-Personal Injury:
At 5:28 PM, Deputies, along with New Glarus Police Department, New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus EMS, responded to the W6700 block of STH 39, Town of New Glarus, for a vehicle vs. deer crash with injuries.
Lessi E. Strahm-Stewart, 17, of New Glarus, was traveling west when two deer entered the roadway and collided with the front of her vehicle. Strahm-Stewart was wearing a seat belt and the air bags deployed in the vehicle. Strahm-Stewart was transported by EMS to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The vehicle had severe damage to it and it was towed from the scene. Strahm-Stewart was cited for a GDL violation and was released pending court.
