The following incidents were reported on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016:
At 6:24 AM, Dennis L. Holcomb, 43, of Monticello, turned himself in at the Green County Sheriff’s Office on a body-only warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department. He was jailed pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash-Personal Injury:
At 3:52 PM, Deputies, along with Brooklyn Fire, Brooklyn EMS, and the Belleville Police Department, responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the W1300 block of STH 92, Town of Brooklyn.
Investigation revealed that Donald V. Hoesly, 71, of Brooklyn, was operating a tractor eastbound on STH 92 when an eastbound motorcycle, operated by Harrison P. Halaska, 24, of Brooklyn, started passing Hoesly on the left as Hoesly was turning into a private driveway. Halaska laid down the motorcycle, which collided with the tractor.
Halaska was transported by EMS to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Halaska was wearing a helmet. Halaska’s motorcycle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Halaska was cited for Unsafe Passing and Operating with No Motorcycle Endorsement. Hoesly was not injured in the crash. Hoesly's tractor sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
At 10:01 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of STH 69 in the Village of New Glarus. Dion R. Carmickle, 33, of Madison, was cited for No Valid Driver’s License, 2nd Offense. He was released pending court.
