The following incidents were reported on Friday, June 3rd, 2016:
Motor Vehicle Crash-Personal Injury:
At 1:45 PM, Deputies, along with Argyle EMS and Argyle Fire, responded to the N7200 Dougherty Creek Road, Town of Adams, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that Douglas E. Kiel, 63, of Blanchardville, was on Apple Grove Rd and turned north on to Dougherty Creek Rd. and collided with a northbound motorcycle operated by Blake L. Schneider, 62, of Argyle.
Kiel was not injured in the crash and he was wearing a seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in Kiel’s truck. Kiel’s vehicle sustained very minor damage and was driven from the scene. Schneider was injured in the crash and was transported by EMS to a local hospital. Schneider was wearing a motorcycle helmet. Schneider's motorcycle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 3:51 PM, Deputies, along with Green County EMS, responded to the N3100 block of STH 81, Town of Monroe, for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Mark A. Sherven, 63, of Mount Horeb, was westbound on STH 81 when a vehicle operated by Marjory G. Lichtenberg, 95, of Monroe, failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and collided with Sherven’s vehicle.
Sherven was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the crash. Lichtenberg was wearing her seat belt and was not injured in the crash. There was no air bag deployment in either vehicle. Sherven’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Lichtenberg’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
At 11:31 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the W8100 block of STH 11, Town of Cadiz. Investigation resulted in Aric J. Geissbuhler, 20, of Darlington, and Slade T. Norton, 19, of Darlington, being cited for 2nd Offense Underage Consumption of Alcohol. Riley J. Gallagher, 19, of Darlington, was cited for 1st Offense Underage Consumption of Alcohol. All subjects were released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 11:59 PM, Deputies responded to the W7800 Block of STH 11, Town of Cadiz, for a motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Alec J. Salter, 20, of Robins, IA, was westbound on STH 11 when he stated he fell asleep. The vehicle entered the north ditch where it overturned. Salter was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the crash. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle had severe damage and it was towed from the scene.
