June 26, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Saturday, June 25, 2016:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At 2:50 p.m., Deputies, along with Albany Police, responded to the N5000 block of CTH E, in the Town of Albany, for a report of a one-vehicle crash with no injuries.  Jeb E. Beck, 16, Albany, was southbound when the vehicle drifted onto the west side shoulder. Beck overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle.  The vehicle then crossed both lanes of travel and entered the east side ditch where it struck a tree.

Beck and his passengers reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured.  The vehicle was not equipped with air bags. The vehicle sustained very severe damage and was towed from the scene. Beck was cited for Failure to Maintain Control/Too Fast for Conditions and was released pending a court date.

Warrant Arrest:

At 7:05 p.m., Deputies arrested Zachery W. Jensen, 26, New Glarus, on a Department of Corrections warrant in the N8400 block of Klitzke Road, in the Town of New Glarus.  He was jailed.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At 9:38 p.m., Deputies and Monticello Police responded to STH 69 and CTH C, in the Town of Washington, for a two-vehicle crash with no injuries reported.  Carol A. Komprood-Burke, 72, Darlington, was traveling westbound on CTH C when she stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of STH 69.  After completing the stop, Komprood-Burke continued through the intersection, striking a southbound vehicle that was traveling on STH 69.  Komprood-Burke and her passenger both reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured.  There was no airbag deployment.  The vehicle sustained moderate, right side damage and was towed from the scene.

The southbound vehicle was operated by Lisa A. Humphrey, 52, Round Lake Park, IL.  Humphrey and her passenger both reported wearing seatbelts and were uninjured.  There was no airbag deployment.  The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was towed from the scene.

Komprood-Burke was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way at a Stop Sign and was released pending a court date.
