July 04, 2016: Daily News Release
The following incidents occurred on July 3, 2016:
At 12:54 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on County Hwy J, at State Hwy 81, Town of Monroe. Investigation into the stop resulted in Victor Ramirez Hernandez, 28, of Monroe, being cited for Operating after Suspension and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Proof of Insurance. Hernandez was released pending court.
At 1:23 AM, Deputies arrested Mario Ovalle Rodriguez, 30, of Freeport, IL, for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence 1st Offense, Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and Operate without a Valid Driver's License in the W4700 block of State Hwy 59, Town of Sylvester. Rodriguez was jailed, pending release to responsible person.
At 2:30 AM, Deputies checked on an occupied vehicle on the side of the road in the N5700 block of County Hwy F, in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Investigation resulted in Derek J. McGowen, 26, of Monticello, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence-1st and Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration-1st. McGowen was also cited for No Proof of Insurance. McGowen was released to a responsible party pending court.
Deer vs. Motor Vehicle Crash:
Robert L. Vock: N7800 block of State Hwy 69, Town of New Glarus
Nicholas C. Sarbacker: W8000 block of State Hwy 81, in the Town of Jordan
At 7:44 PM, Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance involving a knife in the 200 block of Greenview Ave, Village of Monticello. Investigation resulted in Samuel D. Sink 24, of Monticello being arrested for Disorderly Conduct while armed and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety. Sink was incarcerated at jail pending court.
At 8:15 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle in the N5100 block of STH 59, in the Town of Albany, for crossing the center line into oncoming traffic. Joshua Richard Swanson, 18, Dodgeville, was arrested for OWI-1st offense - alcohol, and Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Swanson was also cited for Operating Left of Center Line. Swanson's passengers, Montana Lea Ackerman, 18, Middleton, and Kyla Marie Pillsbury, 18, Middleton, were both cited for 1st offense Underage Alcohol Possession/Consumption. All subjects were released pending court.
