The following incidents were reported on Saturday, July 16th, 2016:
Motor Vehicle Crash-Personal Injury
At 11:01 AM, Deputies, along with Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS, responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on CTH N and Iliff Road, Town of Monroe.
Collin M. Nack, 31, of Monroe, was southbound on CTH N when a westbound vehicle on Iliff Road, operated by Benjamin C. Swedlund, 23, of Monroe, failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and collided with Nack’s vehicle. Swedlund was wearing a seat belt and the air bags deployed in his vehicle. Swedlund was extricated from the vehicle and was transported by EMS for injuries sustained in the crash.
Nack was wearing a seat belt and he was not injured in the crash. Nack’s vehicle was not equipped with air bags. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Swedlund was cited for Failure to Yield the Right-of-Way from a Stop Sign and was released pending court.
At 5:35 PM, Deputies responded to the N4600 block of CTH E, Town of Decatur, for a disorderly conduct case. Investigation resulted in Jamee L. Bakken, 31, of Fitchburg, being cited for Disorderly Conduct. Bakken was released pending court.
Operating While Intoxicated:
At 7:50 PM, Deputies responded to the N6300 block of Conservation Road, Town of Albany, for a vehicle that was stuck. Deputies located a vehicle matching that description and stopped it. Investigation resulted in Garry B. Suiter, 70, of Brodhead, being arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (alcohol) 1st Offense. Suiter was also cited for Operating with Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Suiter was released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
On July 8, 2016, at 3:38 AM, Deputies responded to a suspicious male subject in the W6400 block of Melvin Road, in the Town of Clarno. A caller advised that a male had come to her door and said he hit a car door in the roadway and now his vehicle was disabled. The driver was gone upon Law Enforcement arrival. After an investigation, Bradley D. Brausen, 19, Monroe, was eastbound when he struck a vehicle door that was in the roadway. The door had caused moderate damage to the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Bryce W. Harmon, 19, Monroe. Brausen and Harmon both reported wearing their seat belts and were uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Brausen was cited for Operating After Revocation - Alcohol-Related, and Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of an Accident as an Operator. Brausen was released pending court. Harmon was cited for Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of an Accident as a Passenger. Harmon was released pending court.
