September 03, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on September 2, 2016:

Narc/Drug & Warrants:
At 12:18 AM, Deputies stopped a motor vehicle in the W4800 Block of CTH KK, in the Town of Sylvester, for False Display of Registration. Investigation resulted in the following arrests:
 
· Dustin J. Olson, 26, of Monroe, for a Department of Corrections warrant for a Probation violation
 
·  Dennis E. Carpenter, 23, of Monroe, for a Department of Corrections warrant for a Probation violation, Possession Schedule
   One Narcotic (Heroin) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
 
·   Ashley R. Hauser, 27, of Monroe, for Possession of Schedule One Narcotic (Heroin) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
 
All three subjects were jailed. Monroe Police Department K9 unit assisted on scene.
 
Traffic Arrest:
At 6:37 PM, Deputies cited Cyndle R. Wilkens, 25, of McConnell, IL, for Operating a Motor Vehicle after Driver’s License Suspension in the N2000 block of STH 69, Town of Clarno.  Wilkens was released pending court.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash – OWI:
At 8:51 PM, Deputies, Brodhead Fire and EMS, responded to a vehicle crash on State Hwy 104, north of St. John Road, Town of Decatur. A vehicle, operated by Maggie E. Garthwaite, 18, of Monroe, was southbound on State Hwy 104 when she entered the ditch and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck a driveway embankment, causing it to overturn, coming to a rest on its roof. Garthwaite sustained injuries and was transported by Brodhead EMS to Monroe Clinic ER. Garthwaite was wearing her seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained severe overall damage to the vehicle and it was towed from the scene. Garthwaite was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 1st Offense (alcohol). Garthwaite was cited for; Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle, Open Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicle, and Underage Consumption of Alcohol (2nd offense). Garthwaite was released pending court.
