September 11, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on September 10, 2016:


At 2:10 AM, Deputies stopped Dillin J. Thompson, 24, of Cuba City, in the 300 block of West 6th Avenue, City of Monroe, for a traffic violation.  Thompson was arrested for OWI 1st Offense (alcohol) and cited for Operating with PAC (1st offense) and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.  Thompson was released pending court.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 9:34 AM, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of STH 81 and CTH N, in the Town of Monroe.  Patricia L. Skeffington, 63, of Minburn, IA, was traveling west on STH 81 when a vehicle, driven by Carrie A. Carter, 47, of Monroe, WI, started turning left onto STH 81, from CTH N, and collided with Skeffington's vehicle.  Skeffington sustained injuries, but refused medical treatment at the scene.  Skeffington reported that she was wearing a seatbelt and airbags were deployed in the vehicle she was driving. A passenger in Skeffington's vehicle was not injured, was wearing his seatbelt and his airbag was deployed.  Skeffington's vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.  Carter reported wearing his seatbelt and no airbags were deployed in her vehicle. Carter sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment at the scene.  Carter's vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 1:18 PM, Deputies located a crash that had just occurred on STH 59, at Monroe-Sylvester Road, in the Town of Sylvester.  Lindsey C. Mickulice, 28, Monroe, was eastbound on STH 59 and struck a large piece of an exhaust pipe in the lane of traffic.  Mickulice and her passenger reported no injuries and both reported wearing seat belts.  There was no airbag deployment and the vehicle was towed from the scene due to moderate undercarriage damage.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 2:17 PM, Green County Deputies, Monroe EMS and Monroe Fire/First Response were dispatched to STH 69, at Melvin Road, Town of Clarno, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries.  Investigation revealed Maximilian S. Waller, age 18, of Monroe, was on Melvin Road, at the stop sign east of STH 69.  Waller pulled from the stop sign and into the path of a southbound vehicle, operated by Patricia E. Lambert, age 54, of Orangeville, IL.  The two vehicles collided and came to rest on the west side of STH 69, at Melvin Road.  Waller reported no injuries.  Two passengers in Waller’s vehicle, Jordyn L. Nelmark, age 16, and Dana M. Teasdale, age 15, both of Monroe, sustained injuries and were transported by EMS for treatment.  Patricia Lambert sustained injuries and was transported by EMS for treatment.  A passenger in the vehicle operated by Patricia Lambert, Allen E. Lambert, age 58, of Orangeville, IL, reported injuries, but declined transport by EMS.  All occupants of both vehicles reported seatbelt usage.  Both vehicles sustained severe damage, with no airbag deployment, and were towed from the scene.  Waller will be cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way from a Stop Sign, causing Bodily Injury.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 8:03 PM, Deputies responded to the N5700 block of CTH J, in the Town of Sylvester, for a motor vehicle crash.  Keeley J. Schulz, 23, of Stockton, IL, was operating a vehicle southbound on CTH J when she lost control of the vehicle, causing her to enter a field and overturn. Schulz was not injured, she was wearing her seatbelt, and airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained severe damage, and was towed from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash (Deer):

Diedre L. Buckley:  N4900 block of STH 69, in the Town of Washington

Motor Vehicle Crash/OWI:

At 10:29 PM, Deputies responded to the W2300 CTH EE, in the Town of Albany, for a motorcycle crash.  The driver, Troy A. Menehan, 54, Albany, advised that he was eastbound and had swerved to miss a deer.  Menehan entered the north ditch and rode into the ditch until he was ejected from the motorcycle.  Menehan was arrested for OWI 3rd Offense -Alcohol, and cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control.  Menehan was transported to an area hospital by Albany EMS for injuries sustained in the crash.  Menehan was released pending court.  The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
