September 17, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on September 16, 2016:

Driver’s License Violation:
At 8:07 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of County Highway W, at Argue Road, in the Town of New Glarus, for a report of a disabled vehicle. The driver, Brandon J. Shoemaker, 28, of Edgerton, reported his transmission went out. The vehicle was moved off the roadway. Shoemaker was cited for Criminal Operating after Revocation and released pending court.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 4:30 PM, Deputies responded to the W4000 block of Middle Juda Road, in the Town of Jefferson, for a vehicle rollover crash. A vehicle, operated by Dustin R. Foster, 22, Brodhead, was going eastbound on Middle Juda Road when he went to adjust his radio. The vehicle went onto the grass shoulder on the south side of the road. The driver then steered back towards the road. The vehicle went across the road, up an embankment and into a field, where it rolled several times. Foster stated he was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. A passenger, Braydon J. Collins, 21, Brodhead, was wearing a seat belt and reported injuries, but declined medical treatment at the scene. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle received severe damage and will be towed from the scene.
 
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:23 PM, Deputies, New Glarus Fire, EMS and Police responded to a vehicle crash on State Hwy 69, south of Highland Drive, Town of New Glarus.  Investigation determined that a vehicle, operated by Anthony S. Groves, 32, of Mount Horeb, was northbound on State Hwy. 69. Groves lost control of the vehicle after entering the gravel shoulder and the vehicle overturned, coming to a rest on its wheels. Groves sustained injuries and was transported by New Glarus EMS to UW-Hospital. Groves’ seatbelt was used and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Groves will be cited for Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle.
