November 13, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Saturday, November 12th, 2016:

Underage Alcohol:

 

On Friday, November 11th, at 10:31 PM, Deputies responded to a call at a residence in the N2100 block of Allen Road, Town of Cadiz. Investigation resulted in a 15-year-old male being cited for Underage Possess/Consume Alcohol (under 17) 1st Offense and Operate Without Valid Driver's License. He was released pending court. Ricky W. Tochtrop, 18, of Zeigler, IL, was cited for Underage Possess/Consume Alcohol (age 17 to 20) 1st Offense. Tochtrop was released pending court.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash-Personal Injury:

 

At 11:33 AM, Deputies, along with Green County EMS and Monticello First Response, responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the N5300 block of STH 69, Town of Washington.

 

Investigation revealed that Christina A. Bear, 49, of Monroe, was northbound on STH 69 when she rear-ended a vehicle that had slowed in traffic that was operated by Caden M. Raders, 20, of Lena, IL. Raders was uninjured and was wearing a seat belt.

 

Bear was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by EMS to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. There was no air bag deployment in either vehicle. Bear was cited for Inattentive Driving, Failure to Fasten Seatbelt, and No Proof of Insurance. Bear was released pending court.

 

Raders had moderate damage to his vehicle and it was driven from the scene. Bear had moderate damage to her vehicle and it was towed from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:

 

At 11:54 AM, Deputies, along with Monticello First Response and New Glarus EMS, responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in the N5500 block of STH 69, Town of Washington.

Investigation revealed that Amy L. Paulson, 46, of Verona, was traveling north on STH 69 when she observed an emergency vehicle with its lights and sirens on traveling south, and she began to pull over. Paulson’s vehicle then was rear-ended by a northbound vehicle, operated by Thomas B. Brand, 55, of Peoria, IL.

Paulson was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in her vehicle. Brand was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags deployed in his vehicle.

A passenger in Paulson’s vehicle was identified as Patricia A. Paulson, 69, of Monticello. Patricia Paulson sustained a medical reaction due to the crash and was transported by EMS to a local hospital. Patricia Paulson was wearing a seat belt.

Paulson's vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Brand's vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene. Brand was cited for Following Too Close and was released pending court.

Motor Vehicle Crash - Car vs. Deer:

Randall A. McDuffee:  W8500 block of STH 11, Town of Cadiz

David H. Prindle:         N1400 block of CTH G, Town of Spring Grove
