November 20, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Saturday, November 19, 2016:

OWI:

 

At 2:26 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle in W5400 block of CTH C, Town of Washington. Investigation resulted in Alan L. Crouch, 50, of Monticello, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence 1st (alcohol). Crouch was also cited for Defective Lights and Operating without Proof of Insurance. Crouch was released pending court.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:

 

At 3:27 AM, Deputies, along with Argyle Fire Department, Argyle EMS, and Green County EMS, responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the N5700 block of CTH J, Town of Adams.

 

Investigation revealed that Tyler A. Graves, 18, of Oregon, IL, was southbound on CTH J when he failed to negotiate a curve. Graves’ vehicle entered a ditch, where it overturned and struck a utility pole. Graves was trapped and extricated from the vehicle. Graves was wearing a seat belt and the air bags deployed in his vehicle. Graves was transported by EMS to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Graves was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle and was released pending court.

 

Traffic Crime:

 

At 2:32 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the W2100 block of STH 11, Town of Spring Grove. Ernesto Perez, 45, of Beloit, was cited for Operating After Revocation (OWI related). He was released pending court.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:

 

At 6:37 PM, Deputies responded to a car versus deer accident in the W8500 block of STH 11, Town of Cadiz. Joe A. Polzin, 75, of Janesville, was eastbound on STH 11 when he collided with a deer. Joe Polzin was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Laura P. Polzin, 74, of Janesville. Laura Polzin reported wearing her seat belt. Laura Polzin reported being injured in the crash, but declined medical attention. The air bags deployed in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
