November 24, 2016:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on November 23, 2016:

Motor Vehicle Crash (Deer):

Dustin K. Allendorf:   N9500 block of CTH D, in the Town of Exeter

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 9:20 AM, Green County Deputies, Wisconsin State Patrol, Monticello Police, Monticello Fire/First Response, New Glarus EMS and the Green County Highway Department responded to the intersection of STH 69 and West Coates Avenue, in the Village of Monticello, for a three-vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed Cy T. Guilliams, age 26, of Floyd, VA, was operating a semi-tractor trailer unit, pulling away from a stop sign from the eastern intersection of W. Coates Ave. onto STH 69.  Guilliams pulled into the path of a southbound semi-tractor trailer unit operated by Steven D. Hanel, age 65, of Janesville.  The two semi units collided, pushing both semi units to the western intersection.  The semi operated by Hanel collided with a Village of Monticello pickup truck, stopped at the stop sign on W. Coates Ave. at STH 69.  All three units came to rest in the southwest corner of the intersection of W. Coates Ave. at STH 69.  A stop sign was struck at this corner of the intersection. The pickup was occupied by Kevin J. Komprood, age 41, of Monticello.  All three units sustained severe front-end damage, with no airbag deployment.  Guilliams was not injured and was not wearing a seat belt.  Hanel was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.  Komprood was wearing a seat belt and sustained injuries as a result of the crash, but refused treatment on scene.  The pickup was towed from the scene.  The semi operated by Guilliams was towed from the scene.  The semi operated by Hanel was towed from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash/Traffic Arrest:

At 2:57 PM, Deputies, Brodhead EMS, Brodhead Fire Department and Monroe EMS responded to the W1100 block of STH 11 in the Town of Spring Grove for a motor vehicle accident.  Megan A. Olson, 16, of Brodhead, was operating a vehicle westbound on STH 11 when she turned her left blinker on to turn left into a driveway on the south side of STH 11.  Olson then waited to turn left, due to eastbound traffic.  While waiting to be able to turn left, Olson’s vehicle was rear-ended by a westbound vehicle, which was operated by Emily A. Revel, 20, of BrodheadOlson reported that she was not injured and she was wearing her seat belt.  The air bags did not deploy in the vehicle.  The vehicle sustained minor rear-end damage and was driven from the scene.  A passenger in Olson's vehicle was identified as Jade A. Kesler, 16, of Brodhead, who reported that she was wearing her seatbelt and suffered an injury.  Kesler was later transported by a private vehicle to the Monroe Clinic ER.  Revel was reported to be injured and was transported by Brodhead EMS to the Mercy ER in Janesville, WI.  Two passengers in Revel’s vehicle were not injured.  Revel and her passengers were using their safety restraints.  Revel’s vehicle airbag did deploy, the vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene.  Revel was cited for Inattentive Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid Driver's License, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.  Revel was released pending court.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 3:08 PM, Deputies responded to a vehicle crash in the W1100 Block of STH 11, in the Town of Spring Grove.  Brandon M. Anthony, 22, of Machesney, IL, had rear-ended a vehicle driven by Benjamin C. Knight, 22, of Lake in the Hills, IL.  Knight has stopped in the roadway for a different accident that had occurred.  Anthony reported his vehicle had hydroplaned and he was unable to stop in time.  All occupants of the vehicles reported being uninjured and were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the incident. There was no airbag deployment and the vehicles were driven from the scene.
