December 19, 2016: Daily News Release
The following incidents were reported on Sunday, December 18th, 2016:
At 9:10 AM, Deputies responded to a domestic abuse case in the 400 block of E. Coates Avenue, in the Village of Monticello. Investigation resulted in Duane A. Carpenter, 58, of Monticello, being arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Carpenter was held at the Green County Jail pending bond.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 10:52 AM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the W8700 block of Sawmill Road, Town of York. Investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Liam F. Knutson, 16, of Blanchardville, was southbound on Sawmill Road when he lost control on the snow-covered, slippery roadway while negotiating a curve. Knutson entered the ditch, where the vehicle collided with an embankment. Knutson was not injured, his seatbelt was used, and the airbag did not deploy. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash/Fire:
At 5:00 PM, Deputies and the Argyle Fire Department responded to the N6200 block of Wildlife Road, Town of Adams, for a vehicle fire. Gary K. Vlasak, 60, of Argyle, was going southbound on Wildlife Road when there were flames coming from the engine compartment. Vlasak pulled over and called 911. The Argyle Fire Department responded and put out the fire. Vlasak was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The truck received very severe damage and was towed from the scene.
