January 18, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on Tuesday, January 17th, 2017:

Traffic Crime:

 

At 2:24 AM, Deputies stopped to check on a vehicle that was parked on the side of the road in the W5700 block of STH 11, Town of Monroe. Investigation resulted in Camerino Espana Villalva, 39, of Monroe, being cited for Criminal Operating without a Valid Driver's License (4th Offense). Villalva was released pending court.

 

Warrant Arrest:

 

At 4:14 AM, Deputies responded to the W3300 block of Rufi Lane, Town of Sylvester, for a trespass to land complaint. Investigation resulted in Clayton S. Welte, 21, of Monroe, being arrested for Trespass to Land and a warrant through Winnebago County, WI. Welte was jailed pending bond or court. Investigation also resulted in Jacob E. Johnson, 36, of Monroe, being arrested on a warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Johnson was jailed.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

 

At 5:35 AM, Deputies responded to the W4000 block of Pine Valley Road, Town of Exeter, for a two-vehicle crash.

 

Investigation revealed that Randy D. Montgomery, 60, of Belleville, was operating a snow plow for the Town of Exeter. Montgomery was backing down a hill when, due to the ice covered road, the snow plow slid down the hill and struck an unoccupied vehicle that was parked partially on the roadway.

 

Montgomery was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in the plow truck. The plow truck did not sustain any damage and was driven from the scene. The vehicle sustained very severe damage and was removed from the scene. The air bags did not deploy in the unoccupied vehicle.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

 

At 10:35 AM, Deputies responded to the W3800 block of Gilbertson Road, Town of Mount Pleasant, for a two-vehicle crash.

 

Investigation revealed that Richard A. Baebler, 47, of Monticello, was traveling east and while negotiating a curve, he encountered a plow truck and milk truck stuck in the ditch. Baebler lost control of the vehicle, due to icy road conditions, and collided with the Town of Mt. Pleasant plow truck. The operator of the plow truck was Bryce C. Pence, 20, of Monticello. Baebler was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. Pence was not injured in the crash and was not wearing his seat belt. Baebler’s vehicle sustained moderate damage, with no air bag deployment, and was driven from the scene.  The plow truck sustained very minor damage to the plow, with no air bag deployment, and was driven from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

 

At 11:54 AM, Deputies responded to the N9400 block of Hawks Ridge Road, Town of Exeter, for a two-vehicle crash.

 

John S. Abey, 46, of Brooklyn, was operating a plow truck for the Town of Exeter. Abey was backing up a hill and putting down salt when he backed into a legally parked vehicle along the side of the road. Abey was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. There were no airbags in the plow truck. The plow truck was not damaged. The plow truck was driven from the scene.

 

The vehicle that was parked along the road sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The air bags did not deploy in this vehicle.
