The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:07 AM, Deputies responded to the W6000 block of Pioneer Road, Town of New Glarus, for a two-vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed that Elizabeth K. Skolaski, 56, of New Glarus, was eastbound on Pioneer Road and while negotiating a curve, she lost control of her vehicle on the ice-covered roadway and slid into a westbound New Glarus Township snowplow operated by Ronald D. Roesslein, 55, of New Glarus. Both subjects were wearing seat belts and were not injured in the crash. The air bags in Skolaski’s vehicle deployed. Skolaski’s vehicle had moderate driver's side damage and was towed from the scene.
The Township truck sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. There was no airbag deployment in the Township truck.
At 11:39 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle in the N900 block of STH 69, Town of Clarno. Higinio Aguilar Huertero, 24, of Freeport, was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid Driver’s License 2nd Offense (Crime), and Operating a Motor Vehicle with No Insurance. He was released pending court.
