The following incidents occurred on Friday, February 10th, 2017: 

TRAFFIC CRASH – FATAL:

TRAFFIC CRASH – INJURY:
            At 5:25 p.m., the Green County Sheriff's Office responded to the W8600 block of Buckhorn Road for a Hit and Run motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Phillip L. Crooks, 42, was southbound on CTH M when another vehicle almost rear-ended him. The other vehicle then pulled into a residence on Buckhorn Road. Crooks then stopped to confront the subject, when the other subject backed up, hitting Crook’s vehicle, and then fled from the scene. Crooks reported no injuries; however, the passenger, Tracy J. Crooks, 42, reported non-life-threatening injuries. The Crooks' vehicle sustained minor damage. Neither of the Crooks were trapped nor did they require extrication. Both reported wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Crooks operated his vehicle from the scene. The investigation continues into identifying the other vehicle involved.
 
TRAFFIC CRASH – INJURY:
            At 5:38 p.m., Green County Sheriff's Office, New Glarus PD, New Glarus FD, and New Glarus EMS all responded to N9600 STH 69, New Glarus Township, for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Marisa S. Coles, 31, of Monroe, was 
northbound on STH 69 when she collided with another vehicle, operated by Tracy J. Hefty, 48, of Belleville. Hefty was stopped in traffic after another vehicle was attempting to turn onto Peerless Road when the collision occurred. Coles advised that she did not see any brake lights or turn signal activated. Hefty and Cole both reported injuries, but refused treatment while on scene. Both Tracy and Marisa reported seatbelt usage. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Both Tracy and Marisa were not trapped nor did they require extrication. Marisa was cited for Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance and Inattentive Driving.
