The following incidents were reported on Tuesday, April 5, 2017:
No Valid DL:
At 5:23 a.m., Deputies stopped Shane T. Page, 41, of Freeport, IL, for speeding in the N700 Block of STH 69, Town of Clarno. Page was verbally warned for speeding, but cited for Operating without a Valid Driver's License. He was released with a court date.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Injury:
At 4:11 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 81 at CTH N, in the Town of Monroe, for an injury crash. A car driven by Nicole J. Bleiler, 34, Monroe, was traveling westbound on STH 81 when she slowed down to make a left turn onto CTH N. A vehicle driven by Garrett S. Pandow, 19, Monroe, was following behind Bleiler's vehicle. Pandow did not see the car slowing down and rear ended Bleiler's vehicle. The passengers in Bleiler’s vehicle were Adre J. Bleiler, 12, Kevin D. Bleiler, 10, and Misty F. Bleiler, 6, all of Monroe. They were transported to an area hospital by the Green County EMS. They were wearing seatbelts and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. There was no airbag deployment in Bleiler’s vehicle.
Pandow reported he was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment in Pandow’s vehicle. Bleiler's vehicle sustained severe rear-end damage, and Pandow's vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Pandow was cited for Following Too Close and released with a court date. The Monroe Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Deputies took a report of a stolen “Rustic Road” sign in the N4000 block of Skinner Hollow Road, in the Town of Jordan. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact CrimeStoppers 1-800-I-C-CRIME, or www.greensheriff.com.
