The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 9:35 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 11 & STH 81, Town of Spring Grove, for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a semi-tractor and trailer driven by James W. Kronberger, 57, of Monona, WI, was traveling south on STH 11 when a truck driven by Cody R. Stamm, 23, of Monroe, was stopped at the stop sign on STH 81 at STH 11. Stamm then attempted to turn south onto STH 11 and collided with the Kronberger’s trailer.
Neither Kronberger nor Stamm were injured in the crash. Both drivers reported wearing seatbelts and no airbags were deployed in either vehicle. The semi-tractor was not damaged in the crash and the trailer sustained only minor damage. The semi-tractor-trailer unit was driven from the scene. Stamm's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Stamm was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign and was released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 2:22 PM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash that occurred in the N3900 block of CTH N, Town of Monroe. Investigation revealed that Laron G. Pendleton, 24, of Freeport, IL, was traveling south on CTH N when he swerved to miss a dog that was in the roadway. Pendleton's vehicle went off the roadway and down an embankment. The vehicle continued through a ditch and then went through a fence.
Pendleton was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seatbelt. The air bags did not deploy in his vehicle. Pendleton's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
At 8:11 PM, Deputies responded to the N7200 block of Vinger Road, Town of Adams, for a burglary. The reporting person advised of several items that were taken from their barn. The burglary occurred between April 17 and today’s date. Anyone with information on the case can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 608-328-9400.
