May 27, 2017: Daily News Release
The following events occurred on Friday, May 26th 2017:
At 1:13 AM, Deputies, Green County EMS, and Monroe Fire responded to the N4000 Block of County Highway N, Town of Monroe, for a one-vehicle rollover with injuries. Ryan T. King, age 32, of rural of Monroe, was traveling south when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle rolled on the roadway and came to rest in the ditch. Ryan was wearing his seat belt during the crash. Ryan was transported to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. The vehicle sustained damage to all areas and was not equipped with airbags. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Following an investigation, Ryan was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (4th offense) and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Ryan was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device, and Open Intoxicants. While being treated for his injuries, Ryan fled from the Emergency Room on foot. He was later apprehended and charged with Felony Escape. Ryan was jailed pending an initial court appearance.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 6:55 AM, Deputies, Belleville PD, Belleville EMS, and Brooklyn Fire responded to State Highway 92 at County Highway E, Town of Brooklyn, for a two-vehicle crash. Sarah L. Zinkle, age 29, of Fitchburg, was traveling west on State Highway 92, turning south onto County E, when her vehicle was rear-ended by a second vehicle operated by Daniel J. Tourdot, age 19, of Brooklyn.
Zinkle reported injuries, but refused medical treatment. Zinkle's passenger, Miriam L. Hihn, age 56, of Lone Rock, WI, was injured and transported to Meriter Hospital by ambulance. Both Zinkle and Hihn reported wearing their seat belts. Tourdot reported wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage; there was no airbag deployment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Tourdot was cited for Inattentive Driving.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 4:11 PM, Deputies responded to the N2900 block of State Highway 59, Town of Monroe, for a two-vehicle crash. Billy L. Ellsworth, age 31, of Monroe, was traveling west on State Highway 59, turning onto Greenbush Road, when he struck an eastbound vehicle operated by Ryan S. Voegeli, age 31, of Monroe.
Voegeli reported wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. Voegeli’s passenger, Jacob G. Boss, age 34, of rural Monroe, reported wearing his seat belt and was injured in the crash, but refused medical treatment. Ellsworth reported wearing his seatbelt and was injured in the crash, but refused treatment. Ellsworth's vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and airbag deployment. Voegeli’s vehicle sustained severe fender and tire damage; there was no airbag deployment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Ellsworth was cited for Operating After Suspension, No Insurance, and Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
