The following incidents were reported on Wednesday, June 21st, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:
At 5:15 AM, Deputies responded to the area of STH 59, east of CTH F, Town of Albany, for a motor vehicle crash with no injuries reported. Carl S. Ruegsegger, 26, South Wayne, was eastbound on STH 59 when he fell asleep behind the wheel. Ruegsegger entered the south ditch, struck a mailbox and cement column, and then came to rest. Ruegsegger reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. All of the airbags deployed in the vehicle.
Ruegsegger’s vehicle sustained disabling damage to its entire front end and undercarriage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:
At 12:10 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the N3400 block of Balls Mill Road, in the Town of Sylvester, for a motor vehicle rollover. Monroe EMS and Juda First Response were also dispatched to the scene. Sean P. Flynn, 46, Monroe, was northbound when his car veered off the west side of the road and struck a tree. The vehicle overturned, coming to rest on its side. Flynn reported wearing his seatbelt, and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. There was no airbag deployment. Flynn was transported to an area hospital by EMS.
Flynn's vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
