The following incidents occurred on Friday, June 23rd, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:
At 4:22 PM, Deputies responded to an injury crash in the N8800 block of STH 69, Town of New Glarus. A New Glarus ambulance operated by Eric M. Anderson, 23, of New Glarus, was going southbound, with his lights and siren activated, when Anderson observed a southbound vehicle ahead of him start slowing down on the road. Anderson started to brake, but rear-ended the southbound vehicle that was operated by Alyssa B. Mann, 31, of Middleton. Mann's vehicle was then pushed into a vehicle that was operated by Michael S. Muranyi, 66, of Monroe, who had stopped on the gravel shoulder of the road to yield to the ambulance.
All of the occupants were wearing safety restraints. The air bag deployed in Mann's vehicle. The air bags did not deploy in the ambulance. The air bags did not deploy in Muranyi’s vehicle. Mann had two occupants in her vehicle: Millie L. Mann, age 3 and Jonas W. Mann, age 2, of Middleton. Mann and her two passengers were injured in the crash and were transported by EMS to a hospital in Madison. Anderson was not injured in the crash. Muranyi was not injured in the crash. Mann's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The ambulance had minor damage and was driven from the scene. Muranyi’s vehicle had minor damage and was driven from the scene. The New Glarus Fire, New Glarus Police Department, New Glarus EMS, Green County EMS, and Belleville EMS assisted at the scene.
At 7:26 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the N7200 block of STH 69, Town of Washington. Investigation resulted in Danny L. Ivy, 50, of Freeport, IL, being arrested on four warrants that were issued by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office for Child Support. Ivy was turned over to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
