July 09, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Saturday, July 8, 2017: 

License Violation:

 

At 2:32 AM, Deputies stopped Richard W. Jarosz, 48, Monroe, for an equipment violation in the W8600 block of State Highway 81, in the Town of Jordan. Jarosz was cited for Operating After Suspension and released pending a court appearance.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:

 

At 2:55 PM, Deputies, with assistance from New Glarus PD, responded to the area of STH 69 and Windmill Ridge Road, in the Town of New Glarus, for a motorcycle vs. car crash with injuries, but the occupants were declining EMS. Todd M. Waitrovich, 61, Verona, was traveling southbound when he failed to stop in time for the vehicle in front of him that was stopped. This resulted in Waitrovich striking the vehicle with his motorcycle, which caused minor damage to the motorcycle and vehicle. After striking the vehicle, Waitrovich’s motorcycle then tipped over onto the right side.  Waitrovich was not ejected and was not wearing a helmet.  He reported minor injuries, but declined EMS.

 

The other vehicle was operated by Charles E. Blesener, 81, Michael, MN. He and his passenger reported being uninjured and wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. There was no airbag deployment.

 

Both vehicles were removed from the scene by the operators.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

 

At 5:10 PM, Deputies responded to Camp Sweet Minihaha at N4697 CTH E, Town of Decatur, for a motor vehicle crash.  A car, owned by Kimberlee L. Najdowski, 45, Janesville, was parked at Camp Sweet Minihaha while she and her family went tubing. When they returned, they observed damage on the left front side. There are no suspects. The damage was minor and the vehicle was removed by the owner.

 

License Violation:

 

At 6:55 PM, Deputies stopped Shawn R. Lounsbury, 34, Beloit, for speeding in the W500 block of CTH F, Town of Decatur.  Lounsbury was cited for Operating After Suspension.  He was released pending a court appearance.
