The following incidents occurred on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

 

At 3:05 AM, Deputies and the Brodhead Police Department responded to the N5000 block of STH 104, Town of Albany, for a motor vehicle crash.

 

Investigation revealed that Michael C. Rogge, 63, of Albany, was westbound on CTH B, in Rock County, when he failed to stop at the stop sign at STH 104 and collided with a traffic sign in Green County. Rogge was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in his vehicle. Rogge’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:

 

At 5:25 AM, Deputies responded to the N5000 block of STH 104, Town of Albany, for a motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Andrea Ramirez Arellano, 35, of Janesville, was westbound on CTH B, in Rock County, when she failed to stop at the stop sign at STH 104 and collided with the ditch in Green County. Ramirez Arellano was injured in the crash, but declined medical attention. Ramirez Arellano was wearing her seat belt and the air bags did not deploy in the vehicle. Ramirez Arellano was cited for Operating After Revocation (crime) and was released pending court. The owner of the vehicle arrived on scene and was identified as Edgar Eduardo Ramirez Arellano, 18, of Janesville. Edgar was cited for Operating a Vehicle with No Insurance and was released pending court. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

 

 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury & OWI:

 

At 4:21 PM, Deputies, along with Juda First Response and Green County EMS, responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the W2500 block of STH 11, Town of Jefferson.

 

Investigation revealed that Zachary L. Spangler, 27, of Oregon, was traveling east on STH 11 when he crossed the center line and struck a westbound vehicle that was operated by Lisa A. Fransen, 47, of Monroe. Spangler was injured in the crash, but declined to be transported. Spangler was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in the vehicle. Spangler’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was left at the scene.

 

Fransen was wearing her seat belt and the air bags did not deploy in her vehicle. Fransen was injured in the crash, but declined to be transported by EMS. Fransen’s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

 

A passenger in Spangler's vehicle was identified as Derek J. Sturdevant, 24, of Janesville. Sturdevant was wearing his seat belt and was injured in the crash. Sturdevant was transported by EMS to the Monroe ER. Sturdevant was arrested on a probation violation and was jailed.

 

Spangler was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (alcohol) 3rd Offense, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and a Probation and Parole Warrant. Spangler was jailed.
