The following incidents occurred on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017:
Operating While Impaired:
At 4:44 PM, Deputies observed a vehicle go left of center twice on STH 69, near Rolling Acres Rd., in the Town of Monroe. After crossing the centerline the second time, the vehicle went into the west ditch, over a culvert, and came to rest. There did not appear to be any damage to the vehicle, but it was towed from the scene. The driver was not injured and reported wearing a seatbelt.
After a subsequent investigation, Jonathan R. Leverton-Duerst, 24, of Monroe, was arrested for Operating While Impaired-3rd Offense, Operating Left of Center, Open Intoxicants in a Vehicle, and Operating After Revocation. Jonathan was incarcerated at the Green County Jail, pending bond or court. The Monroe Fire and Police Department, along the Green County Area EMS, assisted at the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 11:36 PM, Belleville Officers located a single vehicle rollover crash in the N9300 Block of STH 92, Town of Exeter.
The investigation revealed that Andrew J. Snow, 28, of Belleville, was traveling southbound on STH 92, when he believed he struck an object in the roadway. Andrew then lost control of the vehicle. While attempting to regain control, Andrew's vehicle crossed the center line and exited the roadway on the east shoulder. The vehicle then struck an embankment, overturned onto its roof, and came to rest. Andrew advised that he was not injured, but was evaluated by EMS. Andrew was not transported. Andrew reported wearing his seatbelt and there was airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Andrew was cited for Operating Without a Valid Driver's License - 1st, Driving Too Fast for Conditions, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. Andrew was then released pending his court date.
