The following incidents occurred on Saturday, August 5th, 2017:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

 

At 7:25 AM, Deputies responded to a hit and run crash in the N4500 block of CTH E, Town of Decatur.

 

Investigation revealed that Jonathan B. Brown, 37, of Mexico, Missouri, was westbound on CTH E when he reported that a deer ran out in the road. Brown failed to negotiate the curve and struck a utility pole. Brown then left the crash scene.

 

Brown was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags deployed in his vehicle. Brown's vehicle sustained very severe driver-side damage and was driven from the scene. Brown was cited for Hit-and-Run Property Adjacent to a Highway, Failure of an Operator to Notify Police of a Crash, Deviation from Designated Lane, Operating Left of Center, and Driving Too Fast for Conditions. Brown was released pending court.

 

Probation Arrest:

 

At 9:49 PM, Deputies responded to a residence in the N6600 block of Dougherty Creek Rd., Town of Adams. Investigation resulted in Shelby J. Riley, Jr., 30, of Argyle, being arrested on a Department of Corrections Probation hold.  Riley was jailed.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:

 

At 11:39 PM, Deputies, along with Belleville Police Department, Albany EMS, and Albany Fire Department, responded to a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH C and Brooklyn-Albany Rd., Town of Brooklyn.

 

Investigation revealed that Mitchell P. Moran, 26, of Evansville, was eastbound on CTH C when he failed to negotiate the curve and the vehicle overturned. Moran was injured in the crash, but declined medical attention. Moran was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (alcohol) 1st Offense Causing Injury. Moran was also cited for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating After Suspension, and Too Fast for Conditions. Moran was held at the Green County Jail pending bond or court.

 

A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Mercedes A. Swenson, 26, of Evansville. Swenson was injured in the crash, but declined medical transport. Swenson was not wearing her seat belt. Another passenger in the vehicle was identified as Dustin B. Winkers, 28, of Belleville. Winkers was not wearing his seat belt. Winkers was injured in the crash, but declined medical transport. Winkers was arrested on a probation hold through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Another passenger was identified as Rebecca J. Winkers, 29, of Belleville. Winkers was not wearing her seat belt. Winkers was injured in the crash and was transported by Albany EMS to the Monroe ER. Heidi M. Lee, 40, of Evansville, was another passenger in the vehicle. Lee was not injured in the crash and was wearing her seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in the vehicle. The vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.
