August 10, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017:

Warrant Arrest:

 

At 3:39 PM, Ashley R. Hauser, 27, of Monroe, turned herself in at the Green County Sheriff's Office for a warrant that was issued by Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Hauser was jailed.

Motor Vehicle Crash-Personal Injury:

At 6:23 PM, Deputies, along with Belleville Police, Belleville EMS, and Belleville First Response responded to the N9000 block of 
STH 92, Town of Exeter, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

Investigation revealed that Tonia J. Chapman, 34, of Belleville, was traveling south on STH 92 and was slowing down for a vehicle that was turning when she was rear-ended by a vehicle that was operated by Daniel W. Meier, 18, of Belleville.

 

Chapman was wearing her seat belt and the air bags did not deploy in her vehicle. Chapman was injured in the crash and was transported by EMS to a local hospital. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

 

Meier was injured in the crash, but declined medical attention. Meier was wearing his seat belt. There was air bag deployment in the vehicle.  The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Meier was cited for Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed and released pending court.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 7:07 PM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the W700 block of STH 11, Town of Spring Grove. Investigation revealed that Kyle B. Steiner, 27, of Brodhead, was eastbound on STH 11 when he fell asleep. Steiner’s truck then entered the ditch and struck a road sign. Steiner was not injured and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in the truck. The truck sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Steiner was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and was released pending court.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash:

 

At 8:04 PM, Deputies responded to the N9100 block of CTH O, Town of New Glarus, for a one-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Cade K. Hellenbrand, 18, of New Glarus, was traveling north on CTH O when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the ditch. Hellenbrand then struck a traffic sign and power pole.

 

Hellenbrand advised he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. The air bags deployed in the vehicle.  The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Hellenbrand was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and was released pending court. The New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene.

 

Disorderly Conduct:

 

At 9:40 PM, Deputies, along with the Brodhead Police Department, responded to the N3200 block of Crazy Horse Lane, Town of Decatur, for a Disorderly Conduct case. The investigation resulted in Clayton S. Welte, 21, of Brodhead, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct and 2 counts of Felony Bail Jumping. Welte was jailed pending court.
