The following incidents were reported on Friday, August 18, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:
At 4:44 p.m., Deputies responded to the W5200 block of CTH W, New Glarus Township, for a one-vehicle accident with lane blockage. Camille M Dalma, 18, New Glarus, was traveling east on CTH W when negotiating a curve, and entered the gravel ditch. Dalma attempted to correct back onto the roadway, but the vehicle began to slide. The vehicle struck a mailbox and came to rest in the eastbound lane of travel.
Dalma reported wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained moderate passenger-side damage and was towed from the scene. Dalma was warned for failure to maintain control.
New Glarus Police assisted at the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:
At 9:08 p.m., Joseph N Tomasiewicz, 19, Monroe, came to the Green County Sheriff's Office to report he was involved in an accident earlier today. At approximately 8:30 p.m., Tomasiewicz was operating a bicycle southbound in the N3200 block of STH 81, in the Town of Monroe. A 2008-2012, dark-blue, Chevy 4-door sedan pulled into the roadway from CTH N (South), striking him. Tomasiewics sustained minor injuries, and was wearing a helmet. The bicycle was not equipped with lights. The driver of the vehicle was described as being a white female in her early 30's, medium-heavy build, with short, brownish-blonde hair. There was also a female child (2-4 year's old) in the back seat. The driver remained on scene for a short period of time and then left northbound on STH 81. The vehicle possibly sustained minor damage to the hood. No other information regarding the driver and vehicle are available at this time.
