September 17, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Saturday, September 16, 2017:

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries/Operating While Impaired Arrest:

At 2:48 AM, Deputies were advised of an ATV crash that occurred between Melvin Road and State Highway 69, in the Town of Clarno.

During the course of the investigation, Deputies learned the operator, Kelsey A. Wuethrich, 26, of Beloit, had sustained severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Kelsey admitted she had been drinking intoxicating beverages prior to the crash and submitted to field sobriety tests, which resulted in her being arrested for Operating While Impaired.

Kelsey advised that she was operating on private property and attempted to make a sharp turn when the ATV overturn and landed on top of her. Kelsey reported she was not wearing a helmet nor safety glasses. Further investigation to follow. Kelsey was then released to ER staff.

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries:

At 1:09 PM, Deputies located a one-person motorcycle crash in the W2300 Block of CTH EE, Town of Albany. Investigation revealed that Lawrence E. White, 28, of Evansville, WI, had been operating eastbound on CTH EE from Monticello when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle entered the gravel where the motorcycle overturned and ejected Lawrence, who received non-life-threatening injuries.

Lawrence was wearing a helmet and proper riding attire at the time of the crash. White was transported by private vehicle to the hospital. It appears that rider inexperience was the cause of the crash.
