October 18, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on: Tuesday, October 17, 2017

 

 

 

Motor Vehicle Accident:

 

At 8:09 AM, Deputies responded to the parking lot of N3481 STH 104 (Juda Grain), Town of Decatur, for a semi/trailer unit that struck a guide wire. No airbag deployment, no injuries, and only one occupant were reported.

 

 

 

Ernesto (NMI) Sawatzky 27 of Winkler, Manitoba, Canada, accidently struck a guide wire in the parking lot due to the glare from the sun. Ernesto’s trailer sustained minor damage to its front end and was driven from the scene. No citations were issued.

 

 

 

Disorderly Conduct/Unlawful Use of Telephone:

 

At 1:11 PM, Deputies cited Douglas L. Larson 64 of Browntown for Unlawful Use of Telephone. Douglas intentionally called 911, but admittedly had no emergency to report. Douglas then met with Deputies in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office and spoke with them. Douglas admitted he had no reason to call 911 and that he knew the non-emergency phone number for the Sheriff’s Office. Douglas was released with a citation and is pending his court date.

 

 

 

Probation/Parole Arrest:

 

At 3:10 PM, Deputies responded to 2841 6th Street in Monroe, Green County Probation and Parole Office, to take Richard E. Thompson 52 of Monroe into custody for violating his probation. Richard was taken into custody and transported to the Green County Jail without incident. Richard was then held pending disposition from his agent.

Heather C. Peterson 42 of Evansville, N3600 Block STH 59, Town of Sylvester

Megan C. Genens 23 of Janesville, W1000 Block of STH 92, Town of Brooklyn
