November 05, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Saturday, November 4th, 2017:

Vehicle vs deer:

N600 CTH T, Town of Spring Grove - Vincent J. Day, Davis, IL

OWI:

At 4:06 p.m., Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the N7400 block of CTH N, Town of New Glarus.  Anthony E Anderson, 39, Brodhead, was northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, and went into the west ditch and through a fence.  The vehicle then came back onto the roadway, into the east ditch and into another fence.  Anderson reported wearing his seatbelt and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  There was no airbag deployment.  The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed.

Anderson was transported to an area hospital by EMS. Anderson was arrested for 1st Offense Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Intoxicants (alcohol), No Insurance, Operating Left of Center, Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Transfer Vehicle Title, and Non-Registration of Auto. He was incarcerated pending a responsible party.

The New Glarus Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At 6:27 p.m., Deputies were called to a vehicle vs. horse crash in the W8900 block of Buckhorn Road, in the Town of Jordan.  Corinne L. Waga, 46, Browntown, was eastbound when a she struck a horse that was on the roadway. Waga was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

No Valid Driver's License:

At 7:47 p.m., Deputies were called to a report of a vehicle travelling in the wrong lane of traffic and off road, in the N7800 block of STH 69, Town of New Glarus.  Suzanne E. Rogan, 66, Middleton, was cited for No Valid Driver's License and warned for Operating Left of Center and Expired Registration. She was released pending a court appearance.

The Monticello Police Department assisted.
