The following incidents were reported on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:
At 12:26 a.m., Deputies were advised by a towing company of a crash in the N2100 block of Allen Road, Town of Cadiz. Christopher M. Kummer, 27, Browntown, had been traveling southbound on Allen Road when a deer entered the roadway. Kummer applied the brakes and skidded into the east ditch line and collided with some brush. Kummer reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
Kummer was cited for Failure to Maintain Control of a Vehicle, No Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance, and Operating After Suspension. He was released pending a court appearance.
At 01:07 a.m., Deputies, Brodhead Police, Brodhead Fire, and Brodhead EMS responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash, with injuries, at the intersection of CTH T at STH 81, Town of Spring Grove. Caleb T. Vazquez, 25, Juda, was southbound on CTH T when he lost control of his vehicle, struck the road/stop sign, entered the west ditch, and the vehicle overturned end-over-end several times before coming to rest on its roof.
Vazquez, who was ejected and not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to an area hospital by EMS for injuries he sustained in the crash.
The vehicle sustained all-over severe damage and was towed from the scene. There was no airbag deployment.
Vazquez was cited for OWI 1st (alcohol), Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, No Seatbelt, and Too Fast for Conditions. He was admitted to the hospital and released pending a mandatory court appearance.
