The following incidents were reported on: Friday, November 10th, 2017
MVC – Property Damage/OAS:
At 2:31 a.m. deputies and BHPD were dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch in the area of STH 11 and CTH GG in the town of Spring Grove. Roberto Jaime Benitez 43, Beloit was westbound on STH 81 when he failed to stop at the stop sign. The vehicle continued through the intersection and proceeded to enter the northwest ditch. The vehicle received disabling front end damage and was towed from the scene. Jaime Benitez reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. There was no airbag deployment.
Jaime Benitez was cited for operating after suspension and was released pending a court appearance.
MVC – Property Damage:
At 4:05 p.m. Deputies and Monroe Police Department responded to W5900 STH11, in the Town of Monroe for a report of a motor vehicle accident without any injuries. Tammy J. Buehler, 51 Monroe, was traveling on the off ramp from STH 11 to STH 81 when a semi unit struck her vehicle from behind. Buehler reported that she was not injured and was wearing her seat belt. The vehicle sustained no damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
The semi unit was driven by William S. Pert, 53, Oelwein, IA. Pert and his passenger, both reported no injuries and that they were wearing seatbelts. The semi unit sustained minor front end damage and the airbags did not deploy. The semi unit was driven from the scene.
