The following events occurred on Thursday, November 23rd, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries/OWI Arrest:
At 12:49 AM, Deputies, along with Albany Fire, Albany EMS, and Brodhead EMS, responded to the N4800 Block of CTH E, Town of Decatur, for a single motor vehicle crash with injuries.
Investigation revealed that Scott R. Ryan, 27, of Belleville, was operating the vehicle and there was a front passenger in the vehicle. Scott was traveling northbound on CTH E when he swerved to avoid an object in the roadway and entered the east ditch. Scott continued to travel through the ditch until striking a driveway, causing the vehicle to become airborne. The vehicle then landed back in the roadway and overturned at least once, before coming to rest.
Air bag deployment, seatbelt usage, and ejection are unknown for Scott and the passenger. Scott and the passenger both reported injuries and were transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The vehicle received major disabling damage and was removed from the scene by a local towing company.
Scott was subsequently arrested for Operating While Impaired (2nd Offense), Causing Injury and cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions. Scott was released with a court date.
Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries:
At 5:33 PM, Deputies, along with Monticello Fire Department, Green County EMS and New Glarus Police, responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Hwy. 69 at County Hwy. C, Town of Mt. Pleasant.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Debra J. DiSalvo, 67, of Madison, was eastbound on CTH C and failed to stop at the stop sign with State Hwy. 69. DiSalvo entered the intersection and collided with a southbound vehicle operated by Angela L. Zwicker, 49, of Belleville. Both vehicles came to a rest on the east side of the roadway.
DiSalvo sustained injuries in the crash, her seatbelt was used, the airbag deployed and she was extricated from the vehicle. A passenger in DiSalvo's vehicle sustained injuries. His seatbelt was used and he was extricated from the vehicle. Both DiSalvo and her passenger were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Zwicker sustained injuries, her seatbelt was used, and multiple airbags deployed. Zwicker was also transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
DiSalvo's vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene. Zwicker's vehicle sustained severe passenger side damage and was towed from the scene. As a result of the investigation, DiSalvo was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and released pending court.
At 8:40 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the N9500 Block of STH 92, in the Town of Exeter, for a report of a physical altercation between two siblings, one juvenile male and one juvenile female.
Investigation revealed the juvenile male had struck his sister due to an argument over money. The juvenile female then attempted to choke her brother and the fight was broken up by a parent. Neither juvenile requested medical attention. Both juveniles were released to their parent and the case was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office for pending charges.
