December 12, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Monday December 11th, 2017:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At 6:00 AM, Deputies, along with Monroe Police, responded to N2300 Haddinger Road, Town of Clarno, for a report of a rollover crash with no injuries and no airbag deployment.  Christian M Heller, 23, Monroe, was northbound when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a mailbox.  Heller then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof, and exit the west side of the roadway. The vehicle continued through the yard, striking a telephone box and colliding with several small trees before returning onto its tires and coming to rest.

Heller reported no wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.  Heller will receive a citation for Failure to Maintain Control.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At 7:14 AM, Deputies responded to the W6900 block of State Hwy 39, Town of New Glarus, for a report of a rollover crash with no injuries.  Ngii N. Tazeh, 38, New Glarus, was eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle due to the slippery road conditions. Ngii overcorrected and entered the south ditch. He struck an embankment in the ditch and the vehicle overturned, coming to rest on its roof. Ngii reported wearing a seat belt and was uninjured.  There was no airbag deployment.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Drug/Narcotic Violation:

At 11:06 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation in the W3400 block of STH 11, Town of Sylvester.   After an investigation, Jonathan Jamz Herron, 20, Exira, IA, was arrested for Possession of THC 1st Offense, and cited for Speeding.  Randy Wayne Fredericksen, 31, Atlantic, IA, was arrested and jailed for Possession of THC 3rd Offense.  Both subjects were also cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.   Herron posted bond and was released.  Fredericksen remained jailed, pending a court appearance.
