December 17, 2017:  Daily News Release

The following incidents were reported on Saturday, December 16th, 2017:

Motor Vehicle Fire:

At 6:44 AM, Deputies, along with Blanchardville Fire, responded to the W8700 block of STH 39, Town of York, for a vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames. The driver, Nicole M. McNeely, 27, of Brooklyn, was eastbound on STH 39 when smoke began to fill the compartment. Nicole then pulled over, opened the hood, and she located a small fire. The vehicle then became engulfed in fire and Blanchardville Fire was able to extinguish it. The vehicle sustained severe overall damage and was towed from the scene. Nicole reported there was no airbag deployment, she was wearing her seatbelt and she did not sustain any injuries.

Recover Stolen Property:

At 9:45 AM, Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle from the intersection of King Road and State Highway 104, Town of Brooklyn. The vehicle was stolen out of Dane County and they were made aware of the recovery. Arrangements were made and the vehicle was removed.

Recover Stolen Property:

At 1:39 PM, Deputies were called to the W2100 Block of Puritan Road to meet with a subject who found a wallet in the ditch in front of a residence. Inside the wallet, identification was located and it was learned the wallet was reported stolen on 12/07/17. Contact was made with the owner and arrangements were made to return it.
