The following events occurred on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:

At 7:12 AM, Deputies, Brodhead Police, Green County EMS, Brodhead Fire, and the Green County Highway Dept. responded to the W1100 block of State Highway 11, Town of Decatur, for a multi-vehicle collision with injuries. The investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Heather L. Heller, age 29, of Evansville, was making a turn into a driveway when a second vehicle, operated by Steven M. Stageman, age 41, of Janesville, collided with the rear of the Heller’s vehicle. Heller’s vehicle entered into the opposite lane, where it was struck by a third vehicle, operated by Timothy J. Bender, age 54, of Juda. A fourth vehicle, operated by Dawn M. Hill, age 46, of Monroe, swerved to avoid the other the vehicles, but collided with Stageman’s vehicle.

All occupants reported wearing their seatbelts. Heller and Stageman were transported by ambulance to the Monroe Clinic Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Bender and Hill reported injuries, but declined treatment at the scene. All vehicles sustained disabling damage and had airbag deployment; all were towed from the scene. Stageman was cited for Too Fast for Conditions. State Highway 11 was closed for 1 hour and 21 minutes.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At 8:10 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of County Highway C and Thoman Road, Town of Washington, for a two-vehicle collision. The investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Daniel R. Parkinson, age 24, of Blanchardville, was eastbound on Thoman Road before sliding into the intersection. A second vehicle, traveling westbound, operated by Armin G. Wand, age 62, of Argyle, collided with Parkinson’s vehicle. Wand’s vehicle entered the ditch and struck a road sign.

All occupants reported wearing their seat belts and were not injured in the crash. Parkinson’s vehicle sustained functional damage and no airbag deployment; the vehicle was driven from the scene. Wand’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and no airbag deployment; it was towed from the scene. Parkinson was warned for Too Fast for Conditions. The Green County Highway Dept. was notified of the damaged road sign.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:

At 10:23 AM, Deputies responded to the N5500 block of Walnut Road, Town of Washington, for a single vehicle crash with injuries. The investigation revealed that Irene G. Prieve, age 69, of rural Monticello, was northbound when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle entered the west ditch and went over a culvert.

Prieve reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained injuries in the crash; she declined treatment at the scene. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and airbag deployment; it was towed from the scene.
