The following incidents occurred on Thursday, January 18th, 2018:
At 4:53 AM, Deputies made contact with a vehicle stuck in the snow in the middle of the road in the W5100 block of Weiss Lane, Town of Monroe. Investigation resulted in the driver, Frederico Gonzales, 39, of Monroe, being cited for Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License. Gonzales also had a felony warrant through the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office. Gonzalez was arrested on the warrant and was turned over to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 8:11 AM, Deputies responded to the N9400 block of County Highway U, Town of New Glarus, for a one-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Margaret L. Jeglum, 62, of New Glarus, was northbound when she advised she became distracted, entered the ditch and struck a fence. Jeglum was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle had minor damage and was towed from the ditch.
