February 08, 2018:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, February 7th, 2018:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 6:51 AM, Deputies responded to the W7400 block of STH 39, Town of York, for a one-vehicle crash. Kayla A. Gray, 20, of Monticello, was eastbound when she lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch. Gray was not injured and was wearing her seat belt. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:

At 7:44 AM, Deputies came upon a crash in the W2300 block of STH 59, Town of Albany. Investigation revealed that Madeline L. McCulloch, 42, of Albany, was westbound on STH 59 when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck a power pole. McCulloch was injured in the crash, but declined medical attention. McCulloch was wearing her seat belt. The air bags deployed in the vehicle. The vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.

Warrant Arrest:

At 10:11 AM, Deputies arrested Daniel F. Baumgartner, 31, of Monroe, at the Green County Justice Center, 2800 block of 6th Street, City of Monroe.  Baumgartner was arrested on Failure to Pay Fine warrants through Green County and the Monroe Police Department. Baumgartner was not able to post bond and was jailed.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 6:09 PM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the N1800 block of Jeffrey Road, Town of Clarno. Jacob R. Amacher, 16, of Monroe, was traveling north when his vehicle began to slide on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch, where it collided with a tree stump. Amacher was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 5:41 PM, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018, Deputies responded to a crash in the N2300 block of CTH S, Town of Jefferson, where the driver left the scene. Investigation revealed that Rene P. Zimmerman, 37, Onalaska, was southbound when he lost control and entered the ditch and struck a road sign. Zimmerman left the scene and did not report the crash. The air bags did not deploy in the vehicle.  There was no apparent damage to the vehicle and it was towed from the scene.

Zimmerman was cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle, Unauthorized Display of Registration and Operating After Revocation-2nd Offense (forfeiture). Zimmerman was released pending court.
