The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018:
At 12:05 PM, Deputies were called to the W5500 Block of Rolling Acres Rd., Town of Monroe, for a burglary complaint. The homeowner arrived home and found that a handgun had been stolen. The case is under investigation.
At 5:07 PM, Glen L. Armstrong, 52 of Savannah, IL, was stopped for driving without required lights activated during inclement weather in the W2700 block of STH 11, in the Town of Jefferson.
After a subsequent investigation, Glen was arrested for a warrant issued from the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department for Failure to Appear on charges for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting/Obstructing. Glen was taken to the Green County Jail pending transport to the Wood County Jail.
At 7:06 PM, Deputies received a vandalism complaint from Stephanie L. Baird, 37, of Freeport, IL. Stephanie reported she was driving in the N800 block of STH 69, Town of Clarno, when she went to pass a vehicle. As Stephanie was passing the vehicle, her front passenger side window shattered. It was believed the driver of the other vehicle threw something at Stephanie’s vehicle, causing it to break. The other vehicle then turned and left the scene. The case is pending further information.
