The following incidents occurred on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018:
Motor Vehicle Crash-Personal Injury:
At 6:54 PM, Deputies responded to the W6700 block of Franklin Rd., Town of Clarno, for a one-vehicle crash. Joshua W. Foht, 18, of Monroe, was going westbound on Franklin Rd. when he lost control of his truck on the ice-covered road and entered the ditch and struck a phone junction box and then a tree. Foht was injured in the crash, but declined medical attention. Foht was wearing a seat belt and there was no airbag deployment. The truck sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 7:10 PM, Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the W100 block of CTH C, Town of Brooklyn. The investigation revealed that Sheila A. March, 49, of Evansville, was attempting to turn west on CTH C from STH 104 when she lost control on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch and collided with a road sign and then a fence.
March was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle had disabling damage and was going to be removed at a later time.
