The following incidents occurred on Friday, March 2st, 2018:
Motor Vehicle Crash-Property Damage:
At 11:26 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of CTH S and STH 11/81, in the Town of Jefferson, for a semi tanker that had backed into a vehicle.
Investigation revealed that Joshua A. Schaff, 32, of Janesville, was waiting stationary on CTH S at the intersection of STH 11/81 when he began backing northbound to allow another semi to turn northbound onto CTH S. Schaff’s unit then struck a stationary southbound vehicle, operated by Amy S. Krass, 38, of Juda. Schaff, Krass and her passenger reported wearing their seatbelts and sustaining no injuries. Schaff was unaware that he had struck the vehicle and then proceeded on his way. Krass’s vehicle sustained moderated damage and was driven from the scene. Neither vehicle had airbag deployment.
At approximately 8:24 PM, Deputies responded to the W3000 block of High School Rd., in the Town of Jefferson, for a domestic disturbance. Investigation resulted in Jakob J. Groebner, 35, of Brodhead, being arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Domestic Battery. Jakob was released after posting cash bond.
At approximately 11:46 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the N5500 block of STH 69, in the Town of Washington. Investigation resulted in Nicholas D. Beckwith, 21, of Iowa, being arrested for OWI 1st Offense and Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Beckwith was also cited for Open Intoxicants in a Vehicle and Operating left of Center. Beckwith was released pending court.
Evan R. Dorn was issued a county ordinance citation for Disorderly Conduct, stemming from a domestic incident that occurred on January 01, 2018 at approximately 1:45 AM. Dorn was released pending court.
