The following incident occurred on Saturday, March 3, 2018:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:
At 10:45 AM, Deputies, along with the Village of New Glarus Police, New Glarus Fire, and New Glarus EMS Departments, responded to the N8300 block of STH 69, Town of New Glarus, for a two-vehicle injury crash.
Investigation determined that Dale W. Emmerton, 56, New Glarus, was southbound on STH 69, preparing to turn right, when David J. Yanke, 21, Sun Prairie, began to attempt to pass Emmerton on the right, colliding with the rear of his vehicle.
Emmerton and his passenger reported no air bag deployment and were wearing their seatbelts. Emmerton’s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Emmerton’s passenger reported a possible injury; however, refused medical transport.
Yanke was the lone occupant, reported using his seatbelt, no injuries, and no airbag deployment. His vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Yanke was cited for Following too Closely and was released pending court.
At 7:48 PM, Deputies responded to a report of an underage alcohol party in the W3800 block of Theiler Rd., Town of Jefferson. Investigation resulted in Mitchell D. Hale, 19, South Beloit, being cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Taylor D. Hawkinson, 19, Brodhead, being cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana (25 grams or less). Hawkinson and Hale were released pending court.
