March 06, 2018:  Daily News Release

The following incidents occurred on Monday, March 5th, 2018:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 5:57 PM, Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash in the N9300 block of STH 92, Town of Exeter. Alice J. Seeliger, 68, of Brooklyn, was southbound on STH 92 when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered road.  Seeliger entered the ditch and collided with an embankment. Seeliger was not injured and was wearing her seatbelt. The air bags did not deploy.  The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was towed from the ditch.

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At 6:23 PM, Deputies responded to STH 69, at Washington Rd., Town of Washington, for a two-vehicle crash. Melissa Y. Kim, 33, of Madison, was northbound, negotiating a curve, when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered road. Kim’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a southbound vehicle operated by Katie M. Grossman, 35, of Monroe.

Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and were not injured in the crash. Kim’s vehicle sustained severe damage, with no air bag deployment. Kim’s vehicle was towed from the scene. The air bags did not deploy in Grossman’s vehicle. Grossman’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Bail Jumping:

At 9:13 PM, Deputies responded to a call in the W4900 block of Edelweiss Road, Town of New Glarus. Investigation resulted in Keith D. Hartje, 22, of Edgerton, being arrested for: (10) counts of Felony Bail Jumping, (3) counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, Obstructing, Criminal Damage to Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hartje was jailed, pending court.

Traffic Crime:

On Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 3:14 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle in the N3400 block of Aebly Rd., Town of Monroe. Investigation resulted in Austin J. Bates, 20, of Monroe, being cited for Obstructing an Officer and Operating Without a License 3rd Offense (Traffic Crime). Bates was released pending court. Kayla K. Niedermeier, 19, of Juda, was cited for Underage Alcohol and Obstructing. Niedermeier was released pending court. Codie D.W. Mau, 21, of Shullsburg, was cited for Obstructing an Officer. Mau was released, pending court.
