The following incident occurred on Thursday, January 17, 2019:

Probation and Parole Arrest:

At approximately 12:58 p.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in the City of Monroe and arrested Kyle R. Neunschwander, 25, New Glarus, WI, on a Probation Hold that was placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.  Neunschwander was incarcerated in the Green County Jail.

The following incident occurred on Wednesday, January 16, 2019:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:

At approximately 6:11 p.m., Deputies, the Brodhead Fire Department, and Brodhead EMS, responded to the N2400 block of CTH T, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a single vehicle crash with injuries.  Investigation revealed that Marlena L. Ray, 27, Madison, WI, was operating a vehicle and was traveling southbound on CTH T when her vehicle entered the west ditch.  Marlena’s vehicle then struck a tree and then entered a field, where it came to a rest.

Marlena was extricated from the vehicle by Brodhead Fire.  Marlena reported that she was wearing her seatbelt.  Marlena sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Mercy Hospital by Brodhead EMS.  An adult passenger in the vehicle was identified as Richard C. Ray, 38, Madison, WIRichard reported that he was wearing his seatbelt.  Richard sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Mercy Hospital by Brodhead EMS.  A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was identified as Samuel Holmes Jr., 6, Madison, WISamuel was not properly secured in a child safety seat.  Samuel sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Mercy Hospital by Brodhead EMS.

The airbags in the vehicle did not deploy.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The following incidents occurred on Tuesday, January 15, 2019:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Personal Injury:

At approximately 7:40 a.m., Deputies responded to the W7600 block of STH 81, in the Town of Jordan, for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by Jasmin M. Corning, 17, Argyle, WI, was traveling eastbound on STH 81 when Corning lost control of the vehicle while she was operating the vehicle’s radio.  The vehicle then entered the north ditch, where it overturned several times before coming to a rest.  Corning reported that she was wearing her seatbelt.  Corning sustained injuries in the crash, but was not transported from the scene by EMS.  The vehicle sustained severe damage and the airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  Corning was cited for Inattentive Driving.

Warrant Arrest:

At approximately 9:12 a.m., Deputies arrested Christopher J. Fillner, 48, Brooklyn, WI, at the Green County Justice Center in the City of Monroe.  Fillner was arrested on an arrest warrant issued through the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.  Fillner was transported to the Green County Jail and was later released after bond was posted.

OWI / Drug Arrest:

At approximately 10:49 p.m., the Green County Sheriff’s Office received a traffic complaint on a vehicle that was traveling all over the roadway in the W3700 block of STH 11, in the Town of Sylvester.  It was also reported that the offending vehicle had almost struck another vehicle head on.  Deputies located the offending vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on it for a traffic violation in the W4800 block of CTH KK.  Investigation resulted in the driver of the vehicle, Raul Campos Morelos, 26, Brodhead, WI, being arrested for Operating While under the Influence (alcohol) 1st Offense, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Campos Morelos was cited for Operate after Suspension and for Operate Left of Center.  Campos Morelos was incarcerated in the Green County Jail, pending an initial court appearance or the posting of bond.

The following incidents occurred on Saturday, January 12th, 2019:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Operate While Under the Influence – Alcohol:

At approximately 1:40 AM, Deputies responded to the N8300 block of CTH X, in the Town of Exeter, for a single vehicle crash with unknown injuries. Belleville PD, Belleville Fire, and Belleville EMS also responded to the scene.

Investigation revealed that Richard A. Legler, 52, Oregon, was westbound on County Highway X when he failed to negotiate the curve to the north. Legler's vehicle crossed the center line and exited the roadway. The vehicle collided with several trees and came to a rest.

There was airbag deployment and the vehicle sustained disabling damage. Legler reported wearing his seatbelt. He was transported by MedFlight for treatment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Legler was arrested for Operate While Under the Influence, 1st Offense (Alcohol) and released pending court. Legler was also cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions and Operating Left of Center.

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:

At approximately 1:05 PM, Deputies responded to the W7100 block of CTH B, Town of Clarno, for a single vehicle crash.

Investigation revealed that Jacqueline A. Boss, 53, Monroe, was eastbound on CTH B when she lost control due to the snow-covered roadway. Boss’ vehicle exited the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Boss reported minor injury and wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained minor damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At approximately 2:54 PM, Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the N2200 block of CTH T, Town of Spring Grove. Brodhead PD responded to the scene to assist.

Investigation revealed that Mariah B. Salas, 20, Beloit, was southbound on CTH T when she lost control of her vehicle, due to slick road conditions. Salas’ vehicle exited the roadway and collided with a telephone box.

Salas reported no injuries and wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained minor damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene. The telephone box received disabling damage.

Operate While Under the Influence – Alcohol:

At approximately 3:14 PM, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on CTH S at STH 11, Town of Jefferson. 

Investigation revealed that a vehicle, operated by Brandi J. Smith, 34, South Wayne, was northbound on CTH S.  Smith failed to yield from the stop sign on CTH S while turning westbound on STH 11.  Smith collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on STH 11.  The eastbound vehicle was operated by Sarah J. Rowley, 20, Juda

Rowley and a passenger reported no injuries, and wearing their seatbelts. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene. Smith reported no injuries, and wearing her seatbelt. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage, with no airbag deployment, and was removed from the scene.

Smith was arrested for Operate While Under the Influence, 1st Offense (Alcohol) and released pending court. She was also cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage:

At approximately 8:04 PM, Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the W600 block of Ten Eyck Rd., Town of Decatur.

Investigation revealed that Justin M. Carreras, 24, Brodhead, was eastbound on Ten Eyck Rd., when he lost control, due to slick road conditions. Carreras’ vehicle exited the roadway and collided with a road sign, damaging the sign and post.

Carreras reported no injuries and wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.

Drug/Narcotic Violation:

At approximately 8:50 PM, Deputies stopped and cited Jourdan A. Roquette, 20, Waterloo, in the W1000 block of STH 11, Town of Spring Grove.

He was cited for Speeding and Failure to Carry Driver License on Person. A passenger, Xavier S. Harriel, 22, Cedar Rapids, was cited for Possession of 25 g or less of THC. GRSO K9 Unit assisted at the scene.

Operate While Under the Influence – Alcohol:

At approximately 9:58 PM, Deputies stopped Russell E. Meier, 63, Cross Plains, in the N9200 block of STH 69, Town of New Glarus.

Investigations resulted in Meier being arrested for Operate While Under the Influence, 1st Offense (Alcohol). Meier was also cited for Speeding and Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration.

Drug Arrest:

At approximately 6:11 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W8900 block of STH 81, in the Town of Jordan.  Investigation resulted in the driver of the vehicle, Jason K. Coy, 30, Monroe, WI, being arrested for Possession of THC (Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Coy was cited for Speeding, Operating after Suspension, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.  Coy was incarcerated in the Green County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.

The Green County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance in locating missing juvenile Gabriella Kraemer, 15 of rural New Glarus. Gabriella was last seen home on 1/7/2019 around 10:00 PM.  She is approximately 5'3", 116 pounds, has brown hair and a fair complexion. Photos are available on the Green County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

She may possibly be in the Madison Wisconsin area. If you see her, please contact your local law enforcement agency, dial 911, or the Green County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center at (608) 328-9400.

The following incident occurred on Wednesday, January 9, 2019:

OWI 3rd Offense / Fleeing an Officer Arrest:

At approximately 10:15 a.m., Deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash that occurred on the STH 11 off ramp to STH 69 and STH 81 (the Argyle Interchange), in the Town of Monroe.  It was discovered that a vehicle being operated by Dennis E. Beutel, 48, Monroe, WI, exited STH 11 via the off ramp and proceeded towards the intersection.  Beutel failed to stop his vehicle and collided with a vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection.  The second vehicle was found to be operated by Joseph M. Van Matre, 30, Monroe, WIVan Matre was stopped at the stop sign and was waiting to make a left turn onto STH 69.

Upon Deputies arrival, Beutel fled the crash scene in his vehicle.  Deputies then initiated a pursuit of the vehicle, which entered the City of Monroe.  The pursuit lasted for approximately a mile and ended with the apprehension of Buetel.

Buetel was arrested on criminal charges of Knowingly Fleeing an Officer (Felony), Operating While Under the Influence (alcohol) 3rd Offense, and Bail Jumping (Felony).  Buetel was cited for Hit and Run to an Attended Vehicle, Following Too Close, and Failure to Wear Seatbelt.  Buetel was incarcerated in the Green County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.

Buetel reported that he was not injured in the crash and that he was not wearing his seatbelt.  Buetel’s vehicle sustained damage and the airbags did not deploy.  Buetel’s vehicle was towed from the scene.  Van Matre reported that he was not injured in the crash and that he was wearing his seatbelt.  Van Matre’s vehicle sustained damage and the airbags did not deploy.  Van Matre’s vehicle was driven from the scene.

The Monroe Police Department assisted with the incident.

The following incidents occurred on Monday, January 7, 2019:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At approximately 7:22 a.m., Deputies responded to the N3700 block of STH 69, in the Town of Monroe, for a report of a single motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by Robert J. Derendinger, 55, Juda, WI, was northbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle.  Derendinger’s vehicle then crossed the centerline and collided with a guard rail on the west side of the roadway.  Derendinger’s vehicle then went down a steep embankment, where it came to a rest.  Derendinger reported that he was wearing his seatbelt and that he was not injured.  An adult passenger in the vehicle reported that they were wearing their seatbelt and that they were not injured.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.  The guard rail sustained damage.

School Bus Crash:

At approximately 9:58 a.m., Deputies were notified of a school bus crash that had occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m. in the W5900 block of STH 11, in the Town of Monroe.  An investigation revealed that a school bus that was being operated by Curtis J. Jones, 72, Brodhead, WI, was exiting STH 11 via the off ramp that leads to the intersection of STH 81 and STH 69 (the Argyle Interchange).  At this time, Jones failed to maintain control of the school bus and the school bus left the roadway.  The school bus then collided with several traffic signs.  The school bus sustained severe front-end damage.  Jones then drove the school bus from the scene.  Jones advised that he was wearing his seatbelt and that he was not injured in the crash.

There was not any children or passengers aboard the school bus at the time of the crash.

Jones was cited for Unsafe Lane Deviation and he was released pending a court appearance.

The following incidents occurred on Sunday, January 6, 2019:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At approximately 8:51 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the N5000 block of Dutch Hollow Rd., in the Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a report of a damaged feed bunker that had been struck by a vehicle.  Upon Deputies arrival, it was discovered that the offending vehicle had fled the scene.  Deputies later located the offending vehicle and identified the driver.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by Dustin A. Trumpy, 25, Monticello, WI, had struck the feed bunker with his vehicle on the previous evening and drove the vehicle from the scene.  It was discovered that the vehicle sustained damage.  Trumpy was cited for Hit and Run to Property Adjacent to Hwy. and for Failure to Keep Vehicle under Control.  Trumpy was released pending a court appearance.    

OWI Arrest:

At approximately 6:32 p.m., Deputies responded to the N2300 block of Bethel Rd., in the Town of Clarno, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch.  Investigation found that the driver of the vehicle was found to be Kelli L. Runkle, 64, Monroe, WI.  It was discovered that Runkle had attempted to turn the vehicle around when the vehicle became stuck on landscaping blocks.  Runkle was arrested for Operating While under the Influence (alcohol) 1st Offense.  Runkle was incarcerated in the Green County Jail, pending her release to a responsible party.

The following incidents occurred on Saturday, January 5, 2019:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At approximately 8:05 a.m., Deputies, New Glarus Police, New Glarus Fire, and New Glarus EMS, responded to the W6400 block of STH 39, in the Town of New Glarus, for a report of a one-vehicle rollover crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by Emily R. Curry, 16, Blanchardville, WI, was operating eastbound on STH 39 when the vehicle entered the south shoulder of the roadway.  The vehicle then slid sideways and entered the north ditch.  The vehicle then rolled one time and came to a rest.  Curry reported that she was wearing her seatbelt.  Curry reported injuries and was transported from the scene by EMS.  The vehicle sustained damage and the airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Warrant Arrest:

At approximately 10:25 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the N2300 block of Brodhead Airport Rd., in the Town of Spring Grove, for a report of an altercation.  Investigation resulted in Joshua R. Tree, 26, Argyle, WI, being arrested on an arrest warrant issued through the Green County Sheriff’s Office.  Tree was incarcerated in the Green County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.

The following incidents occurred on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019:

OWI:

At approximately 3:14 PM, Deputies responded to a traffic complaint of a vehicle traveling in the opposing lane of traffic and ran an opposing vehicle off of the roadway, near State Highway 69 and County Highway H, in the Town of New Glarus.

Investigation revealed that Jesse A. Evonovich, 40 of Monroe was southbound when he lost control of his motor vehicle. Evonovich’s vehicle left the roadway and crashed in the east ditch. Evonovich reported wearing his seatbelt and sustaining no injuries. The vehicle sustained minor damage and no airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Evonovich was arrested for OWI 1st offense and cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle. Evonovich was released pending court.

ASSAULT:

Chase S. Norton, 23 of Mineral Point was arrested for Substantial Battery and Disorderly Conduct, stemming from an incident that occurred on 01/01/2019 at approximately 3:08 AM. Norton was involved in a physical altercation that occurred at 149 N. Main Street, in the Village of Monticello.

The following incident occurred on Wednesday, January 2, 2019:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Traffic Crime:

At approximately 4:01 PM, Deputies stopped Charles F. Marshall Jr., 35, of Belleville, for speeding in the N5800 block of STH 69, Town of Mt. Pleasant.

Investigation resulted in Marshall being cited for Speeding, Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance, and Operating While Revoked. Marshall was released pending court.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash- Property Damage:

At approximately 4:21 PM, Deputies responded to the N1800 block of Mt. Hope Rd., Town of Spring Grove, for a single vehicle rollover crash.

Investigation revealed that Javier Gonsales, 28, Brodhead, was southbound on Mt. Hope Rd. when he lost control of the vehicle. Gonsales’ vehicle entered the ditch and rolled onto its side.

Gonsales reported wearing his seatbelt, no airbag deployment, and no injuries. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was left at the scene until it could be removed.

Gonsales was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid Driver License, and was released pending court.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash- Property Damage:

At approximately 4:28 PM, Deputies responded to the W5600 block of Melvin Rd., Town of Clarno, for a single vehicle crash.

Investigation revealed that Kathryn E. Zastrow, 32, Monroe, was westbound on Melvin Rd. when she lost control of her vehicle. Zastrow’s vehicle left the roadway and entered an adjacent field.

Zastrow reported wearing her seatbelt, no airbag deployment, and no injuries. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The following incident occurred on Tuesday, January 1, 2019:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At approximately 2:47 p.m., Deputies responded to the N1000 block of Clarno Rd., in the Town of Clarno, for a report of a single vehicle crash versus power pole.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by James L. Hurlbert, 57, Monroe, WI, was traveling northbound on Clarno Rd. when Hurlbert reported that he hit a patch of ice on the roadway.  The vehicle then went off the roadway and entered the west ditch.  The vehicle then struck a power pole and struck a fence.  Hurlbert reported that he was wearing his seat belt and that he was not injured.  The vehicle sustained damage and the airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle was privately towed from the scene. 

Alliant Energy assisted at the scene.

The following incidents occurred on Monday, December 31, 2018:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At approximately 6:35 p.m., Deputies responded to the N3200 block of CTH S, in the Town of Sylvester, for a report of a single vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by Zachary P. Bennett, 17, Monroe, WI, was traveling northbound when Bennett lost control of the vehicle due to the snow-covered roadway.  The vehicle then entered the ditch and collided with a utility pole.  The vehicle then overturned.  Bennett sustained injuries, but was not transported from the scene by EMS.  Bennett reported that he was wearing his seatbelt.  The vehicle sustained damage and the airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

At approximately 9:09 p.m., Deputies responded to the east intersection of STH 59 and CTH F, in the Town of Albany, for a report of a one-vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated by Jalil L. C. Haywood, 20, Oregon, WI, was traveling eastbound on STH 59 when Haywood lost control of the vehicle due to the snow/ice-covered roadway.  The vehicle then entered the ditch and struck a traffic sign.  The vehicle then continued into the ditch and collided with a fence.  Haywood reported that he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt.  The vehicle sustained damage and the airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.
