The Green County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time patrol deputy position.  Duties include traffic patrol, general law enforcement, courtroom testimony, transportation and supervision of inmates, civil process, and such duties as assigned to from time to time.

Qualifications:

US citizen; minimum age-21; driver’s license; good driving record; good physical condition; high school diploma; 60 college credits; ability to possess a firearm; no felony convictions; no domestic abuse convictions; vision correctable to 20/20; good verbal and written communication skills; be able to react quickly and effectively to stressful situations; able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; knowledge and skills in operating computer systems; clear and concise speech; ability to handle several tasks simultaneously; ability perform essential functions of this position; ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment; must possess law enforcement academy certification or equivalent at time of hire.
